The school gate of Abia State University (ABSU) have been shut down following the protest of students over tuition fees
The students was serious against the issue of “no-fee-no-examination” by the management of the institution, considering the prevalent harsh economic reality in the country.
The ABSU students can not imagine Security agents coming into the examination halls to chase indebted students out, that is so serious.

This move by the school authority did not go down well with the final year students as they resisted and in the process destroyed multi-million naira public properties within the school premises, students are reportedly burning tires in a sign of defiance.
Yesterday, the intervention of the security agent stop the riot and students were given till 6pm to vacate the school premises till further notice.
