FG to Create Job Centers in all Local Government Areas by March 2017

The Federal Government on Tuesday reported that it would job centres in all local government areas in the nation before the end of March 2017.FG to Create Job Centers in all Local Government Areas by March 2017

It expressed that the job centres which should be no less than one in each nearby local government, will be utilized to accumulate information on the genuine number of unemployed people in Nigeria, including that it was idealizing every essential procedure expected to actualise this.

Talking during a board discourse on Addressing Nigeria's Unemployment Challenge at the 48th Annual National Conference of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labor and Employment, Dr. Paul Adalikwu, expressed the centres would address the absence of information for unemployed people in Nigeria, as of now, nobody appear to know the correct number of jobless people across the nation.

He said, "Without precedent for Nigeria that procedure is being idealized and accurately by the main quarter of next year from now we are going to have the procedures set up where unemployed graduates can register their information for legitimate arranging and coordination across the nation. So by the first quarter of next year from now we will have our job centres in every single local government in Nigeria."

Clarifying how the centres would function, Adalikwu said work area officers will be positioned at the outfits to encourage unemployed graduates to come and register their information so as to support arranging.

He said the legislature will often get and gather the information from all the job centres and would satisfactorily choose what to do regarding work creation, including that the advancement would upgrade calculations on budgetary arrangements for the formation of jobs in states.

The permanent secretary also stated that the government had increased skill acquisition centres and that this was in order to enhance the capacities of the unskilled and semi-skilled workforce in Nigeria.
