Recession: American University of Nigeria Raises Staff Salaries

The American University of Nigeria (AUN) Yola has declared salary increment for more than 1000 workers to improve the impact of the current financial retreat in the nation.Recession: American University of Nigeria Raises Staff Salaries

The development was contained in an official statement issued by the Public Relations and Communications office of the school.

The announcement noted that in spite of the fact that the university itself had been antagonistically influenced by increasing expense of commodities, the welfare of its workforce remained a top need being a developed university thus the decision for the upward pay survey.

"President Margee Ensign of the American University of Nigeria today declared graduated salary increases for all the national representatives of the University underneath the senior administration level, adding up to more than ₦91 million every year.

Thus, beginning in December 2016, all the different classifications of national representatives at the establishment will get up to a 26 percent increment to cushion the effect of the current recession. More than one thousand national representatives will be influenced", it expressed..

Ensign, along these lines, valued the support of the AUN originator, previous Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and the college's Board of Trustees in making the compensation increase a reality.
