Just four candidates out of the 19 visually-challenged applicants who sat for the examination acquired credits in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

The Head of National Office of the committee, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, said this on Friday while reporting the release of the results in Lagos.

Adenipekun, who said the board would soon initiate holding the examination twice in a year, said the outcome was a change on the 2014 and 2015 examinations.

"A sum of 66,497 candidates, representing 38.50 per cent, got credits in five subjects or more, including English Language and Mathematics.

"The rate of hopefuls that acquired five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics in the WASSCE for private applicants in 2014 and 2015, was 29.37 for each penny and 20.59 per cent respectively.

"Arrangements to lead a second diet of the examination is now at a propelled phase of endorsement. It might be conceivable one year from now," he said.

Out of the 172,699 hopefuls who enrolled for the examination, Adenipekun said 1,210 applicants, representing 0.69 per cent, have a couple of their outcomes as yet being handled because of mistakes.

He included that the mistakes were being amended to enable the candidates to get their full results

Notwithstanding, the HNO said the aftereffects of 13,488 hopefuls, representing 7.81 per cent, were being withheld regarding different instances of examination misbehavior.

"For the May/June examination, we work with schools and help them to ensure that the biometric and bio information of the candidates are appropriately caught and transferred.

"Yet, with private applicants, they need to get to our portal exclusively and transfer their bio information.

"A portion of the competitors, out of uneasiness, will hurry to answer the inquiries without composing their names and examination numbers.

We will keep on educating the applicants with the end goal that the blunders are lessened, " he said.

To check your result follow these steps:
1. Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
    (This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789)
2. Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2015
3. Select the Type of Examination: (May/June or Nov/Dec WASSCE)
4. Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card.
5. Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card
6. Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up
