JAMB: Supplementary UTME Holds July 1, 85,000 Candidates To Participate

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled Saturday, July 1 for supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 85,000 applicants.JAMB: Supplementary UTME Holds July 1, 85,000 Candidates To Participate

The board's Head, Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin, declared the date in an announcement on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said the examination was for the individuals who enrolled late and those with related issues.

He included that it will be spread over some Computer Based Testing (CBT) focuses.

"Following a broadened management meeting of the JAMB, the supplementary 2017 UTME has been slated to take place on Saturday, July 1.

"No less than 85,000 candidates are listed for the examination.

"Affected candidates have been informed through text messages.

"By this notice, they are encouraged to check their email and profile for the schedule of their examination or visit the board's site for their status,'' Benjamin said. .

The board advised rescheduled candidates to comport themselves and be of good conduct.

"A large portion of the applicants rescheduled for this examination enjoy this benefit as a result of the board's standards of fairness and comprehensiveness.

"It is ideal to release 100 guilty parties than to punish one innocent person.

"The board will upgrade its monitoring of the examination as it would not trade off its pedigree."
