Job Title: Digital and Social Media Manager

Location: Lagos, Abuja

Job Details 
Towards achieving this, we seek two(2) highly motivated and creative individuals with experience and passion for connecting with current and future customers through social and digital media. The role-holders will be an essential component in communicating the BC brand in a positive way while also championing creative and engaging dialogue within the company’s social media space.

The role will involve creating, curating, and managing all published content and all also requires superior communication and influencing skills to identify, build relationships and pro-actively engage with influential on-line commentators and media agencies relevant to our work.

Main Accountabilities:
Digital Communications and Social Media
Working with all teams, to develop, implement and maintain an imaginative and comprehensive social media presence for selected projects using a wide variety of tools, setting ambitious targets and monitoring success.
Develop and execute plans to increase page views, unique visitors, dwell time and site ‘stickiness’ to encourage repeat usage.

Identifying and developing engaging online campaigns
Identify and execute engaging online creative directions for British Council’s projects and examination services that will enhance the council’s online presence and drive online engagement metric objectives as identified.
Monitor and identify trends in Nigeria social media, market intelligence and insight  to support effective strategies, plans and audience reach.

Website Management
Working with local and regional digital team to edit and create new content for the relevant British Council’s country pages on the country website with the aim of increasing interactive engagement and audience reach.
The successful post-holders will have at least two years’ experience with proven success in application of social media for business use.

Note that there are two roles. One role is based in Lagos and the other is based in Abuja. Please signify preferred location in your supporting statement.
