CBN Encourages Graduate on Creating Employment Opportunities

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has declared publicly that it will keep on exploring more avenues of creating employment opportunities for the teeming young people in the nation.CBN Encourages Graduate on Creating Employment Opportunities

The Bank's Deputy Governor responsible for Corporate Services, Suleiman Barau, expressed this on Thursday, while talking at an entrepreneurship training programme organised by the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria School of Basic Studies (Basico) 77/78 and 1981 graduating class at the African Community Bridge Foundation, Abuja.

As per Barau, "lack of job opportunities and graduate unemployment are a portion of the real challenges confronting the young demography in Nigeria.

"The training would propel graduate from being searchers of white collar jobs to confident entrepreneurs"

The CBN official also made it clear that the entrepreneurship training would cover the areas of starting-up businesses, sourcing for business finance, legal aspects of business and other vocational skills.

While encouraging the participant to exploit the training, Barau guaranteed them of the apex bank's availability to offer help as far as fund and manpower development.

President of Basico 77/78, Yahaya Ali Amfani, said the training of youths in vocational skills was needed to mitigate the challenge of unemployment faced in the country.

He included that the business enterprise preparing would give members the chance to distinguish their job and how best to understand their true abilities.
